Signs that your septic tank needs pumping include:

  • Gurgling
  • Septic back up in toilets, sinks, or showers
  • Water Ponding
  • Foul Odor
  • Slow Drainage

We also suggest maintenance pump outs and here is why!

Regularly pumping septic tanks may or may not be a part of your revolving list of homeowner maintenance. If it is, we applaud your efforts in keeping your system functioning properly for years of use and peace of mind. If it is not, however, we would strongly urge you to maintain your tank on the 3-5 year basis. We recommend this time frame, along with the Florida Department of Health, for a very important reason: the overall health of your system! Septic tanks needs to be emptied periodically because of sludge build up, this is a byproduct of the tanks bacteria which breaks down all of the solids that are introduced to the tank. This buildup will not disappear over time but can actually build up so high that it will be introduced into the drain field, making them completely useless.

To put this into prospective, the average drain field repair/replacement in the Gulf Breeze, FL area is approximately $4,500. The average septic pump out in the Gulf Breeze, FL area is $300, In our opinion, $300 every 3 years is cheaper than $4,500.

What’s included in an average tank pump out?

Our average pump out prices are flat rate and include 100’ of distance from the truck to your tank, 12” of cover on top of the tank, and one hour of labor.

While 90% of the pump outs that we perform stay within the above guidelines, every system and property is different, and some additional charges may apply. A member of our staff will consult with you if you qualify for additional charges after viewing your property when they arrive for service.

What can I expect from a pump out service?

After arriving onsite, our technician will locate the access lids to the tank and remove them, he will then proceed to pump the tank until empty. Meanwhile, he will be checking for any signs of failure in the tank such as cracks or defects in the walls and floor as well as checking water levels and water returning from the outlet. If water is returning from the outlet, this most likely means that the field lines are not functioning properly and will need to be repaired.

When the service is completed you will be given an invoice with information about your tank and if there are any issues with the system. If a repair is needed, our office staff will set you up with a repair technician so that they can give you a quote on fixing your issue.
